What This Is
Zay's BAEs are his advanced-level training and performance team: the dancers he develops, performs with, and books for events. That is different from Master BAE Certification, a separate path that trains dancers to become certified instructors and brand representatives who carry Back to BAEsics into their own cities.
Beyond the Classroom
Production and Choreography
Zay doesn't just teach movement, he builds it. He directs and choreographs full productions from the ground up: casting the right performers, structuring the arc of a show, and setting the movement vocabulary that ties a piece together. Whether it's a showcase for his students, a brand activation that needs a full routine, or a live performance built around an artist, Zay brings the same eye for detail and story that he brings to every class.
This is where his training pedagogy and his performance background meet: he knows what a dancer needs to feel ready, and he knows what an audience needs to feel something.
The Process
Concept to Stage
Every production starts as an idea: a theme, a piece of music, a feeling someone wants an audience to walk away with. Zay takes that idea and builds it out, piece by piece, into something that can actually be performed. That means developing the concept, blocking the choreography, rehearsing the cast until the timing is second nature, and shaping the final run so it lands the way it was imagined. From the first conversation about what a piece should feel like to the moment the lights come up on stage, Zay is hands-on through the whole process.
